BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION
Anyone employed by the school or is assigned duties involving interaction with or the regular responsibility for children are required to have a current background check. Here is an outline of the positions requiring background check.ALL New Employees – BCI and FBI – complete prior to first day of employment
Current Employee Renewing Licensure w/ODEW – FBI only – complete when renewing license
Current Employee No License – FBI only – complete every 5 years
Current Bus/Van Driver – FBI only – complete every 6 years
Non-Licensed Substitute – BCI and FBI – complete prior to first day of employment
School Volunteers – BCI only – complete prior to activity/event
Note: If you are unsure if you have a current background check on file with the school, please contact the building secretary.
Fingerprints can be completed at the Highland County Sheriff's office. No appointment is needed.
