BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION

Who is required? Anyone assigned duties involving interaction with or the regular responsibility for children.
  • All staff, coaches and athletic volunteers - BCI and FBI
  • School volunteers and field trip chaperones - BCI only

Fingerprints can be completed at the Highland County Sheriff's office.  An appointment is not needed.

  • School Safety Officer

    The School Safety Officer will serve as a critical resource in strengthening the home–school–community partnership by providing supervision, security, intervention, and prevention services.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in law enforcement preferred
    • Prior experience in a school setting preferred
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks
    • OPOTA certification preferred

    Salary:  Based on experience.
