Are you interested in being a school volunteer or a chaperone on a field trip? That’s great news! All volunteers are required to have a current BCI background check completed prior to volunteering in the school or attending a field trip. Once completed, the report is valid for 18 months.
You can get a background check at the Highland County Sheriff’s Office. They require that you bring your drivers’ license and this form from the school outlining the codes they need and where to send the results. Click link below, print the form, fill it out and take it with you to the sheriff’s office.
