Update concerning our recent high level of absences due to the flu and our actions to address the problem.

First, our custodial staff have provided commercial grade disinfectant spray to all staff to use during the day in the classrooms as needed. Our custodial staff are also using commercial grade Clorox misters each evening to address high risk areas for flu virus. Bus drivers have been asked to wipe down high risk areas on our buses. Our custodial staff have also been asked to wipe down all doors after students have been admitted to the building in the morning and at the end of each day.

Fairfield Local will facilitate a flu immunization clinic on January 31.

Students in grades K-5 will be immunized from 1:00 to 4:30pm IF a consenting parent is present and pays the health department. Parents may sign their child out at the Elementary office.

Students in grades 6-12 will be immunized from 9:00am to 12:00pm. These students must have an authorization form, insurance card or payment. Authorization forms will be sent home on Monday the 27th.  Here is a link to the consent form you may print.  Parental Consent Form for Flu Vaccination

The clinic will be run by the health department in the Fairfield Board Office. Community members are also welcome. Look for more information on this clinic at the Fairfield website.
