7 State Degrees Awarded to Fairfield Students 

On Friday May 6, 2022 Seven Fairfield Students Recieved there State Degree at the 94th annual Ohio FFA Convention. These students had to show record of there participation in Both State and Local activities, outsanding SAE records along with 25 hours of Community service. Those students recieving this award inclue Adam Berwanger, Caitlin Campbell, Katie Fauber, Landry Hattan, Grace Matthews, Sydney Sanders, and Caleb Van Nieuwenhze. Congrats to all

Fairfield Honored by State FFA for Charitable Giving

On Tursday May 5, 2022 Fairfield FFA Was Recognized by the Ohio FFA for there Charitable acts and Community service. These Actvities include: Safe Halloween, Adopt a christmas child, Raising and Processing Chickens as well as donating to FFA Camp Muskingum and Nation Wide Childrens Hospital. Recieveing this award was Chapter Member and Executive Committee member Carson Shoemaker.

State Meat Judging Contest

State Meat Judging On Saturday April 30, 2022 the Fairfield FFA Meats Judging Team participated in the State Meats Judging Contest at The Ohio State University in Columbus. The team placed 19th in the state and consisted of Morgan Shoemaker, McKinley Cox and Timothy Johnson. Congratulations to all!

 

 

 

 

Sanders competes in State Livestock Finals 

We would like tState Livestock Finalso congratulate Sydney Sanders for placing 2nd as an individual in the state of Ohio for General Livestock Judging. Hard work has definitely paid off!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chicken Harvest 

On Saturday several students gathered at the school to help process and package the chickens raised by our Livestock classes. After the butchering process carrided out by Johnson Farms students met at the school to package the birds. After packaging, these brids were donated to the local food pantry pperated by Jenetta Turner. In total 42 birds were processed and donated.

Miller Places in Top 10 at Ohio FFA Pet Grooming CDE

Miller Congratulations to Mackinzi Miller for placing 10th overall at the State level for Grooming 1! In the Grooming 1 CDE, students have to identify breeds of cats and dogs, parasites, grooming products and grooming tools and equipment. Individuals also have a practicum that includes animal handling skills and basic grooming skills. Shee look forward to participating in Grooming 2 next year!

 

 

 

 

 

 


Young Recieves Ohio FFA Foundation Scholarship

Young Recieves ScholarshipWe would like to congratulate Sophie Young on receiving an Ohio FFA Foundation scholarship sponsored by The Ohio Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA).  HBPA is composed of nearly 2,500 owners and trainers who race Thoroughbreds at the three commercial race tracks in Ohio. Each year two $1,000 Ohio HBPA scholarships will be offered to FFA members in each of the FFA’s ten Ohio districts.Congratulations Sophie!

 

 

 


Shoemaker Competes in State Ag Mechanical Skills Contest         

Ag Mech Skills ContestOn Friday April 8th Sophmore Carson Shoemaker competed in the State Ag Mecanical Skills Contest. Shomaker qualified by participating in the District contest. In this contest Carson had to show his ability to complete numerous task common in a mechanics shop activities included: welding, percision measuring, hard ware and tool identification, as well as using a multimeter.  Congratulations Carson on your success!

On april 7th Seniors Austin Lovitt, Caleb Van Nieuwenhze and Sophmore Carson Shoemaker participated in the District 9 Small eninges contest held at Georgetown High School. They placed 8th in the District.

State Wildlife Team State Wildlife Management Team

 5 Students traveled to Hocking college on April 2nd to Compete in the State FFA Wildlife Management CDE. They Placed 20th in the state and 1st in the District. Leading the Team was Lucas Craycraft and Mackinzie Miller.

Senior, Shaleigh Duncan is currently Fairfield's FFA Vice President.

She is running for a State FFA Officer position. 

State Officer positions are announced at the annual State FFA
Convention, which is will be held May 5th and 6th.
