Kathryn Streber
Elementary Principal

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Fairfield Local Elementary!  This year promises to be filled with engaging, meaningful experiences for your child.  We are dedicated to meeting individual needs while holding high expectations to ensure that each student has the opportunity to be successful.  Our staff is committed to promoting and modeling responsible and respectful behavior through the implementation of PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports) in order to provide a safe, positive environment.

As the new year begins, we want to celebrate all of our previous accomplishments while we also reflect and create goals for continued growth.  We take pride in constantly seeking opportunities for our school to improve because our students deserve the very best!!

This school year, we will focus our improvement initiatives on the following:

  • strengthening the implementation of PBIS throughout the building by utilizing evidence-based practice consisting of behavioral health strategies
  • continuing to build an early literacy foundation for our students through staff participation in the Ohio Literacy Pilot and LETRS training while also analyzing current ELA curriculum
  • reimplementation of the Ohio Improvement Process through the use of grade level Teacher Based Teams and a Building Leadership Team

At Fairfield Local Elementary, we value your involvement and support in your child's education.  This year, I would to personally invite you to become an active team member in our school community through volunteering, joining our PTO, or attending any of our various school events.  You can support your child's academic success by ensuring they attend school each day, working with them on homework, monitoring their progress, and asking them to share what they have learned each day.  Your active participation is key to student success and together we will continue to do what is best for our students.

We encourage you to contact us if/when the need arises.  Looking forward to an AWESOME school year as we work together and celebrate the learning and growth of our students!

Respectfully,

Mrs. Streber
