Ready Bodies, Ready Minds Program!

We would love your help!

Daily the Reading Specialists along with the Kindergarten teachers set up a motorlab in the elementary gym that incorporates large motor, fine motor and academics for All Kindergarten students.

We are in need of more help so we can continue to serve all our Kindergarten students daily with this program. We would love all interested adults parents, grandparents, or community members, and high school students that would be free at least one or more days per week to help us out between 8:50-9:30am daily, please respond by calling the Elementary office 937-780-2988, or seeing Jana Hodson if interested.

Thank you for helping our Ready Bodies, Ready Minds Program for the youngest of our learners.

Fairfield Elementary is excited about our improved approach to helping students grow into good readers!

Since Fairfield Elementary joined the Ohio Early Literacy Pilot Project, Mrs. Jana Hodson has been our Elementary Literacy Coach. Her main work has been to help our teachers apply their in-depth learning of the science of reading in their work with students. In addition, Mrs. Hodson has been directly helping as many students as possible to strengthen their reading skills.

This year we've made even more improvements! Mrs. Kayla Roy and Mrs. Kristy Watson have joined our Reading Support Team as Reading Specialists! They will be working with individual and small groups of students to help them improve their reading skills. Mrs. Hodson will continue coaching the teachers as they apply their professional learning and our new reading curriculum and coach the Reading Specialists in their new work. Additionally, she will continue working with some students to build their reading skills.

Please join us in cheering on our dedicated Literacy Coach and Reading Specialists!
